Returns and Refunds Policy

At Bulk2Business we strive to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. This Returns and Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and exchanges. It complies with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act).

  1. Cooling-Off Period (Change of Mind)

Because you purchased online, you have a 7-day cooling-off period under the ECT Act.

  • You may return any unused, unopened, and undamaged item within 7 days of receiving it, for any reason.
  • The item must be in its original packaging with all seals, labels, and accessories intact.
  • You (the customer) are responsible for the return shipping costs.
  • We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

2. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you have stronger rights if the product is:

  • Defective or not of acceptable quality
  • Not fit for the intended purpose
  • Damaged on delivery
  • Not the item you ordered

In these cases:

  • will inspect the item upon receipt.
  • If the claim is valid, we will offer you:
    • A full refund, or
    • A replacement, or
    • A repair (where applicable)
  • We’ll cover the reasonable return shipping cost for valid defective/damaged claims.

Important for Power Tools & Machinery: Returns for defective power tools must include the original proof of purchase, and the tool must not show signs of misuse, incorrect installation, or modification (e.g. changed plugs, removed safety guards, or heavy usage marks).

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless they are defective:

  • Opened or used consumables (drill bits, blades, abrasives, batteries, etc.)
  • Custom-ordered or specially imported items
  • Clearance / sale items marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable”
  • Products without original packaging and tags
  • Items that have been installed or used

4. Refund Process

  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method (via PayFast or bank transfer).
  • Shipping fees are generally non-refundable, except in cases of defective or incorrect items.
  • A restocking fee of up to 10–15% may apply for change-of-mind returns on bulky or high-value items.

5. How to Return an Item

  1. Contact us first at returns@bulk2business.co.za (or use the contact form) with your order number, reason for return, and photos if applicable.
  2. Wait for our approval and return instructions (including a Return Merchandise Authorisation – RMA number if issued).
  3. Ship the item back to the address we provide.
  4. Include a copy of your invoice and a note with the reason for return.

We recommend using a trackable courier service.

6. Warranty

Most power tools and equipment come with a manufacturer’s warranty (usually 1–3 years). This is in addition to your CPA rights. Warranty claims should be directed to us, and we will assist with the manufacturer where required.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Your continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
